XI. HANGER-ON (PARASYTE MOVIE)
When I entered our room, I was surprised to see that we were going to watch Parasyte and of course, being the noisy and annoying one, I announced to the whole class that I have watched it already but without the subtitles and I don't know anything about the Japanese language, soooo, yeah I did not understand much then. (HAHA)
This time around, thankfully there are subtitles. Sadly I wasn't able to see the beginning of the movie, or where it all started. But I was able to understand things about the movie that I did not understand then when I watched it without subtitles (come to think of it, why and how did I endure to watch a movie where I did not understand a word they were saying HAHA).
The movie was about aliens taking over the bodies of the people and then, they pretend to be a normal human, but would look for an opportunity to capture other people because they feed on humans. Even though it may sound like a creepy film (and it really is a creepy film), there was a part there that really touched my heart.
When one of the aliens took over Shinichi's mom, he was so devastated that I felt sorry for him (I mean who wouldn't), And it came to the point where he had to fight with the alien that took over his mom, he had to be strong enough to fight against his mother. He was almost killed by the alien inside his mom, but his mom saved him even though it cost her, her life.
It just makes me really sad, I am a sucker for those kind of drama, the typical i-love-you-so-i-will-sacrifice-for-you drama. I did not like the ending though, it was such a cliff hanger, I am certain that there is a part two and I hope that my professor would let us watch it too.
