X. Ang Tatay Kong Kalbo
When I first learned about the title, I immediately laughed, because my dad is bald. I liked the play of the Theatro Phileo, I think that they really have portray the filipino version of an absurd play. I really liked Mrs. Santos and I find the laugh of the the actrs very funny, that it was very infectious. Even if I did not like the line or the scene I still laugh because of the laugh of the actors.
I did not understand much of the play but I sure did had a lot of fun. Some scenes would be had to understand but there are always those punch lines that made me enjoy the play. I loved the setting of the play. There were portraits that were really funny.
It was one of those feel good movies, that even though I did not understand somethings I was still smiling the whole time.
After we watched the play, one of our professors told us that each character symbolizes something. And that the main symbol in the play was the grandfather clock that was in the setting. It symbolizes time, that we continue on living our life on menial things. We continue living the only life that was granted to us not realizing that we are wasting it.
